Hey Indianapolis…it’s time to GO APE!

The Super Bowl left many traces in its wake since that mild week in February. Georgia Street will forever look cool. People around the world are still talking about Hoosier hospitality. People can now have Super Bowl banner shower curtains and beach bags thanks to People for Urban Progress. What did everyone love at the village – the zip line?!
And now, at Eagle Creek Park…we’ve got permanent zip lines for Indy!
The Go Ape! Treetop Adventure has been installed at Indy’s largest park. This is SO much more than just a quick zip line ride too. And for those of you who zip lined at the Super Bowl…I’m sorry, but that zip line has nothing on this two to three hour excursion.
The DoItIndy Crew headed to Eagle Creek Park on opening day this past weekend to see Indy’s latest attraction. Despite the killer heat (hello 92 degrees!), we enjoyed the shade as we climbed, swung and zipped our way to fun. We swung from Tarzan swings, climbed up cargo nets, traipsed over rope bridges, and zipped over 400 feet.
I definitely encourage you check this out. I’ve done high rope courses and zip lines before, but this experience was by far my favorite. The wonderful Go Ape! staff are there to assist if needed, but you really go at your own pace. So whether you want to just go and test it out, take out of town visitors or a large group of friends, it’s an Indianapolis must-do!
