Indy has a plethora of fun and romantic things for you and your lover to do!

If you need a little help please check out my romantic picks for one of my favorite holidays.. Val’s Day 😉 !

There are plenty of Indy Events to create a romantic evening for someone special. Perhaps he would like to be treated to the Indiana Pacers vs. Miami Heat game!? Maybe she would love a romantic dinner at a Romantic Indianapolis Restaurant? You may make your reservations at: OpenTable. My personal city favorites include: St. Elmo’s Steakhouse, Harry and Izzy’s, Sushi on The Rocks, OceanAire, Mo’s Steakhouse, Buca Di Beppo and The Old Spaghetti Factory. Now I’m hungry 😉

The Indianapolis Theater always has something going on! See shows at the IRT (Indiana Reperatory Theater) , the Pheonix Theater, Theater on the Square, Civic Theater and other Indy Non-profits to entertain and impress your loved one.

Getting Lucky with Lucy Deluxe – The White Rabbit Caberet, in Fountain Square, is a wild show with a promiscuous lady that takes you on her adventure to find true love.

For the cultured lover there is the Midwinter Dance Festival at Butler University. Butler Ballet produces an engaging performance featuring renowned choreographers Nacho Duato, artistic director of Russia’s Mikailovsky Ballet, and Kevin Irving, former artistic director of The Gothenburg Ballet in Sweden. The pair will be in Butler this Winter to set Duato’s Vos Per Muero, which translate to “For thee I Die” from a poem by Garcilaso de le Vega. The piece is a “juxtaposition of text and sound… which moves between traditional Spanish social dance and classical and contemporary ballet,” says Larry Attaway, chair of Butler’s Dance Department.

Basile at Crackers Comedy Club – Is there a better gift than laughter? The most diverse entertainer in the business hits the stage at Crackers Comedy Club in Downtown Indy, Basile stars in the show “Growing Up Greek in America and is hilarious!

Valentine’s Day Cabaret by Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio –Treat your Child to this magical marionette show!

Romance and Remembrance – The President Benjamin Harrison Home is open to lovebirds for an enjoyable night of Victorian romance as you take a special tour of this Old Northside majestic house. Enjoy an elegant dinner in the ballroom, with dancing, live music and a reading of the lover letters between Caroline Harrison and Ben Harrison.

Short Films of 2012 – Oscar Nominated! – Located at Keystone Art Cinema near Keystone at the Crossing Fashion Mall, The Oscar Nominated short films, both animated and live action. This unique north Indianapolis cinema presents all the Oscar nominated films, but the short films are a special addition not normally found at movie theaters.

Indiana Ice vs. Chicago Steel – Can you say Hockey???? If your man loves the ice then perhaps check out The Indiana Ice!

Indianapolis Hotels Love is in the air, nothing better than a sexy night away from the usual. Enjoy a night at the Conrad, the Hilton, the Hyatt or any other Indianapolis hotel.

The Art of Love Featuring Jagged Edge – Celebrate Valentine’s Day with this special R&B band, Jagged Edge, at the Murat Theater in the Old National Centre. Head to Mass Ave for this sensuous concert that is sure to get you in the mood for romance!

That’s Amore! by the Indianapolis Symphony OrchestraThat’s Amore! This special one-night-only event features celebrated loves songs from Italian classics to pop-opera. Enjoy selections that include music from Puccini, Pavarotti, Sinatra, the Jersey Boys and Poperazzi. Don’t miss out on this event.

Chocolate Lover’s Trail by Indiana Wine Trail – Tour six of  Indy’s best wineries on the Indiana Wine Trail’s Chocolate Lover’s adventure.

Ridge Winery’s Valetine Steak Dinner – Can you say steak dinner for two. For only $54.94 per couple enjoy a delectable steak dinner and one bottle of wine. Surrounded by the vineyard, there is no more romantic setting in which to celebrate your Valentine!

Incurable Romantic Dinner at Chateau Thomas Winery. Enjoy romantic music and candlelight dinner for. Dinner is $65 per person.

Will You Be Mine? Valentine’s Dinner at the Connoisseur Room – Chef Joseph whips up luxury taste creations for Indianapolis diners. Tickets are $70 per person with wine and $55 without. Plus, enjoy the baby grand piano, creating mood music for a romantic Valentine’s atmosphere.

Valentine’s Dinner and Dance at the Rathskeller – The Rath is ready to put you in the mood for love with a three course dinner including choice of filet with stuffed shrimp, connemara chicken and more. Add in a live Indianapolis band to sweep your lover off her feet. Reservations begin at 6 p.m.

    So many great suggestions!!! I personally would love the Pacers game or the Victorian experience at the Benjamin Harrison home. Cool!

      My husband took me to the Benjamin House for Valentine’s day a few years ago and we enjoyed ourselves very much have been back for their Christmas dinners.
